The trailer shows the action that the Expendables deal with, gunfights, fist fights ,explosions and much more but they don't feature in the poster, which I like because it takes up a more serious tone instead of a cheap over the top action film. Its shows that Stallone means business this time, also the black and white tone which adds a certain mystery to the plot, but the "August" is highlighted in red which could resemble the blood shed in the film.

This is exactly what the trailer showcases because its all comedy based with lots of action thrown in their too, I would say the poster shows the film off very well.
